Over the last few months, we have moved from Monza to Milan, and as far as Livorno before continuing towards Lecco and then again returning to Milan. And like the tireless travellers we are, we began fitting our personal trips together with new stages of #picnicity, sharing this passion of ours on the social networks and in every virtual and real place available to us, such as the Festival of Sustainability in Lecco.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve done so mainly because we\u2019ve gone from the memories of our special picnics (aperitifs in Tiuvholmen, the new design district of Oslo, overlooking the fjord where Barbara enjoyed the sunset, snacking on lefse (a sort of potato flatbread) with cheese and salmon, or lunches in Brittany at the Mean Ruz lighthouse, with Quich\u00e9 Lorraine, apple cider and shortbread, as fondly recalled by Linda), to theories about possibly holding a picnic in Turin in the not too distant future, passing through the present, with rich, striking Riva del Garda.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Riva del Garda<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A city as precious as a jewel. That\u2019s why it\u2019s called Riva del Garda. A location enclosed in an area characterized by strong contrasts and Mediterranean vegetation, such as lemon trees, olive trees and vines, thriving at the foot of the rocky cliffs that lurk in a blue lake.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mediterranean climate, the long sun-baked public beaches, a town full of bursting of historical monuments, a breathtaking panorama that has inspired the greatest poets of all time: these are the main ingredients for an unforgettable holiday on Lake Garda that you can always repeat whenever you want.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A holiday here encompasses thousands of experiences. First of all, sport: sailing and windsurfing, but also excursions in the mountains, cycling, mountain biking, rock climbing, tennis, and canoeing.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the past, the city has hosted many famous celebrities like Nietzsche, Kafka, and the Mann brothers. And today, like back then, the kind of hospitality offered on the shores of Lake Garda in the Trentino area is refined and family-based. There are many types of tourist accommodation to choose from in Riva del Garda: bed & breakfasts, hotels, campsites, apartments, residences. All offer the ultimate in comfort, as well as a warm family welcome, like for example Hotel Luise.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hotel Luise<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the beginning, in 1959, Hotel Luise only had 30 bedrooms and a restaurant which, thanks to Eugenia\u2019s culinary skills, soon became a reference point for the whole Lake Garda area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the years, many improvements have been made and that little 3 star hotel has become the modern 4 star hotel you see today. In the early 90s, Alberto, Rino\u2019s son, and Stella, his wife, took up the reins and tried to preserve its original core values of Italian tradition and hospitality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Homemade bread, cakes and biscuits for breakfast, coffee made with a moka pot whistling on the stove, the Vespa in the hall as you go inside, the design objects in the rooms, the antique furniture, the collection of suitcase labels, the smiles of all the staff… all these form an explosive mixture that warms the soul, completely and unforgettably, inside Hotel Luise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For us, the added value was the perfect picnic service: blanket, wicker basket, but with a built-in cool bag, lots of savory and sweet treats and all 100% plastic-free. In fact, the food is all packaged in paper, cord and natural wrappers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A #picnicity, or in fact two<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At Hotel Luise we organized two splendid #picnicities; the first under the veranda in broad daylight, in the middle of a wonderful autumn day. These were accompanied by the flawless hospitality of the Hotel staff and the <\/span>#Profound<\/b> character of Vinhood, with an exceptional<\/span>\u00a0Ribolla Gialla<\/b>\u00a0by\u00a0<\/span>Vini Maman<\/b><\/a>\u00a0Azienda Vitivinicola in Friuli, which tantalises the nose with marked notes of ripe fruit, hazelnut and fig.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wines with an\u00a0<\/span>#Profound<\/b>\u00a0character are recognizable because they are generally fuller-bodied. They are white wines which, regardless of where they have come from, have spent time in wooden casks or belong to excellent vintages. Profound wines, reminiscent of introverts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the second #picnicity we used the \u201cMint Morning\u201d suites, which evoke the pleasure of a long slow breakfast when it\u2019s raining outside, and it was raining hard, in mid-morning. The beauty of the location mixed perfectly with the dry flowers of The Colvin, the gift boxes by \u201cGrateful Tea & Gift\u201d – suitable for any occasion and perfect for when friends get together and spoil one another – and the intense, aromatic <\/span>Moscato d\u2019Asti<\/b>, of\u00a0<\/span>Azienda Agricola Mustela<\/b><\/a>\u00a0which represents the <\/span>#Vivacious <\/b>character.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sparkling wine with a #Vivacious character is bubbly and delicate, so perfect for desserts and a tasty break. It evokes the character of a bubbly person, a veritable explosion of energy.<\/span><\/p>\n
