So? <\/span>Which of the festivals that I recommended <\/span><\/a>stole your heart<\/b>?<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s really no time to lose. Temperatures continue to rise, it keeps getting hotter and more uncomfortable, but for you, who just can\u2019t bare the thought of staying at home (and who can blame you), the show continues, with five more fantastic events. All of them in the second half of August, to end the summer with a bang.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. BBF \u2013 BELGRADE BEER FEST<\/b><\/h2>\n

August 18-21, 2022<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Remaining in the east, in the neighborhood of New Belgrade, in the western part of Belgrade, Serbia, we find,<\/span> with<\/span> 500,000 attendees each year,<\/b> one of the 20 most important brewing events in the world<\/b>: the <\/span>Belgrade Beer Fest<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Known simply as <\/span>BBF<\/b><\/a>, it takes place in the enormous U\u015d\u0107e Park, at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year is a <\/span>special edition<\/span><\/i>: to <\/span>celebrate 300 years of beer in Serbia<\/b>, exactly <\/span>300 different beers from all around the world<\/b> will be available during the four days! Plus attendees can enjoy 50 concerts on 4 stages, <\/span>silent disco<\/span><\/i>, and the chance to ride a <\/span>hot air balloon and gaze at beautiful Belgrade from above<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. OAK PARK MICRO BREW REVIEW<\/b><\/h2>\n

August 20, 2022<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Oak Park, in Cook County, just 12 km from Chicago, the <\/span>Windy City<\/span><\/i> of <\/span>Moor\u2019s Brewing Co.<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Old Irving Brewing <\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>has been the site of the <\/span>Oak Park Micro Brew Review<\/b><\/a> for the past fifteen years. This <\/span>festival, like none other of its kind<\/b>, is focused on <\/span>micro and nano-breweries<\/b>, or rather those niche and high quality breweries <\/span>that produce less than 18,000 hl\/year<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

95 micro-breweries participate<\/b>, with the only exception being <\/span>Goose Island<\/span><\/a>, the most important and iconic brewery in Chicago.<\/span><\/p>\n

Full day <\/b>tickets<\/b><\/a> cost \u20ac80<\/b> and evening entry costs \u20ac60. If you\u2019re the designated driver you have the option of either waiting in the car or paying a reduced fee of \u20ac13.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. BOLLE DI MALTO<\/b><\/h2>\n

August 25-29, 2022<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Obviously there had to be an Italian stop on our list of festivals!<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m talking about <\/span>Bolle di Malto<\/b><\/a>, the most important August beer festival in Italy<\/b>, in Biella to be exact. In collaboration with <\/span>Slow Food<\/span><\/a>, it welcomes <\/span>90,000 food and beer aficionados<\/b>, making it one of the most important events in Northern Italy. Now in its <\/span>6th edition<\/b>, this year <\/span>35 Italian craft breweries<\/b> will participate, including big names like <\/span>Baladin<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Della Granda<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Vecchia Orsa<\/span><\/a>, with a special focus on Piedmont, the host region.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enjoy concerts, taste laboratories, and street food like there\u2019s no tomorrow, from <\/span>churrasco<\/span><\/i> to BBQ to hamburgers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The gem of them all (<\/span>not to be missed!<\/span><\/i>) are the <\/span>traditional recipes and dishes<\/b>, including <\/span>fritto misto alla Piemontese<\/i><\/b> (mixed fried vegetables and meats) and <\/span>polenta with <\/b>Toma Maccagno<\/i><\/b> cheese<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

9. SUMMER BEER DABBLER<\/b><\/h2>\n

August 26, 2022<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The thirteenth edition<\/b> for this American festival organized by <\/span>Beer Dabbler<\/b><\/a>, Dabbler TV, and the magazine The Growler.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many American breweries will be present at the <\/span>Summer Beer Dabbler<\/b><\/a>, held at Harriet Island Park, in St. Paul, Minnesota.<\/span><\/p>\n

A normal <\/span>ticket<\/b><\/a> costs \u20ac50<\/b>, and a <\/span>VIP ticket <\/span><\/i>costs \u20ac70 (<\/span>you enter one hour before everyone else…<\/span><\/i>), and includes live music and street food. Here too a designated driver ticket is available for \u20ac20, which allows you to enjoy food and nonalcoholic drinks.<\/span><\/p>\n

10. BXL BEER FEST<\/b><\/h2>\n

August 27- 28, 2022<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

We end with the political and beer capital of Europe, which, for two days, hosts an<\/span> event which any self-respecting beer-geek simply must attend <\/b>(<\/span>…it\u2019s easy-to-get-to, with low-cost flights from any Italian airport).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I\u2019m talking about <\/span>BXL Beer Fest<\/b><\/a>, hosted in the splendid setting of <\/span>Tour & Taxis<\/span><\/a>, a magnificent example of 19th century industrial architecture, overlooking the Brussels Canal, northeast of the city center. <\/span>60 breweries <\/b>participate, including the best of Belgian production, offering <\/span>all of the lambic and gueuze that you can drink <\/b>(<\/span>Cantillon<\/span><\/i><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>De la Senne<\/span><\/i><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>3 Fonteinen<\/span><\/i><\/a>, etc.<\/span><\/i>), as well as <\/span>400 different beers<\/b> from the US, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, Croatia, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Norway.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two entry options: an all-inclusive ticket for \u20ac85, <\/span>which includes all the beer you can drink<\/b>, or a simple entry ticket for \u20ac5 (<\/span>and \u20ac9 on the weekend<\/span><\/i>), with <\/span>beer purchased<\/b> separately for a <\/span>symbolic price of 90 cents each<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
